Summer is in it’s end, another year gone.

We spent a long weekend with my aunt in Buffalo. I was able to persuade my younger cousin to let me take a couple pictures of her.

I fell in love with Allen Town, a beautiful section of Buffalo, I will be moving there as soon as I can escape. Another summer is over already. At least we had Buffalo :)

I am trying to get a photography business started. I need money. Now. Why not get paid for what I love to do, & what I paid EMU to give me a degree on.

I have no idea how to do this. Word of mouth has only gone so far. I still need to get my website up and running. I guess that was one class that I should have taken at Eastern.

I need people to let me take photos of them to put in my portfolio. That would be a start. I guess that my confidence level has hit an all time low at this point.

I’m going to really work hard to get this off of the ground. I need to get started. Here I go…..

Erica & I went to Detroit to scout out some interesting backdrops for a photo shoot she is trying to get done. We had an amazing time despite the frigid cold & all of the close calls. We came to the conclusion that having pepper spray on you at all times, is just a good idea. We also discovered that CVS does not carry pepper spray.

I need to get my mind ready for school/work to start up again. I have just let my brain fog up and drift away. Time to find it & get prepared to function. Ugh, I’m not ready…

Well, Chayse is now 7. It just seems that there is no way for that to be true. Time goes by so fast.

I am so lucky to have such a great boy. He has the best personality and a wonderful sense of humor. He takes after his dad.

Happy birthday!

Well, Chayse has a new best friend. Bones is a 6 month old black lab. They are inseparable! They will play and play and laugh hysterically! Watching them together makes me laugh a teary laugh – it’s been a while since I’ve had such great warm belly laughs.

I hate to say it, but I guess that Bones is worth all of the destruction he has caused. We heart Bones…

I love halloween! I can’t wait to take my skateboarding zombie out for some treats!

I was able to catch up with some photo buddies of mine. We had the most therapeutic day ~ full of dress-up studio fun and a walking photographic adventure. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was a much needed day of bliss. It was a nice slow deep breath before this crazy school year starts.

Aaaahhhhh!

I have one week off & a lot to get caught up on. Today is Wednesday and so far… I have done nothing. Literally, I have not left my house. I have a friend coming over on Saturday for a photo shoot, yet I haven’t even tried to straighten up the garage so I can set up my backdrop & lights. The garage is packed full with the typical summer accessories ~ bikes, fishing equipment, grill, lawn mower… I could go on… but it’s not necessary.

This week is turning out to not be relaxing or successful…
