best time EVER!

I was able to catch up with some photo buddies of mine. We had the most therapeutic day ~ full of dress-up studio fun and a walking photographic adventure. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was a much needed day of bliss. It was a nice slow deep breath before this crazy school year starts.
Aaaahhhhh!

productivity

I am becoming productive in all areas besides photography.
I have been cleaning the walls, floors, sheets, blankets, toilets, closets, garage, shed….. I could continue, but won’t. I am doing everything but going out and shooting. Why?
This weekend… I am going to amaze myself…. hopefully in a photographic way…

art cannot be forced

Well that’s that.
I have a deep desire to make an emotional portrait ~ having sizable aspiration does not a great picture make.
Tomorrows a new day…

forcing art
Posted by jamicarlson under photography problems | Tags: art, lack of photography, photography |Leave a Comment
I am leaving now to walk the neighborhood to take pics. I live in the least exciting place. I have to take pictures because I feel it wrenching in my gut. I feel lost and incomplete.
The problem I am finding…. can you force art? I am going to be shooting an area that doesn’t interest me just for the act of shooting. I don’t have gas to drive to a more interesting back-drop. I am stuck here ~ lacking a model & not surrounded by an engrossing subject.
Well let’s give this a shot!
